Paperless Society

Buying our first home has equated to me having a collection of paper about 2 reams thick.

I started scanning a lot of the important documents into my gmail for archival purposes however those 'copies' are not important enough, as they are not the originals.

Yet I am told a digital 'signature' is just as valid and binding as an ink one... Go Figure.

Next task... Getting Water, Gas and Electricity arranged...

All is well, Christmas is coming, Work is busy, Life is busier, money is fleeting and its going to be one hell of a hot summer.

Homework for you dedicated readers, is to reply with two things:
Firstly, what one thing from your childhood did you always think was the best thing about summer?
Secondly, what is your best idea of a way to cool down fast?

My personal answer would probably be:

An open letter to the asshole that broke in and stole things from me

If you are caught, which I am almost certain that you will be, you had better hope that the police catch you before I do.

So far we have been broken into, had an Xbox, ps2, Discman, mobile phone and god knows what else stolen from our home.

I had my car broken into, and the damage alone to the locks cost in excess of the value of the car, let alone the stereo and time it has taken me to get the aforementioned fixed and replaced.

Only last night I discovered that some scumbag decided to steal my line trimmer (whipper-snipper) and an expensive hammer drill from my garage.

As I mentioned before, the long arm of the law is quite lenient on punishment on low-lives like you, enforcing punishments such as community service (picking up litter, repairing fences and cleaning graffiti), and ludicrous victims of crime repayments such as 1 dollar a week for the next however many weeks due to the fact that you can't be without your Winnie blues and Bundy and coke on your f**king dole-cheque

I propose the following, a somewhat more fair form of redemption for the crimes committed by you (henceforth to be known as f**k-stains).

I would suggest that for each dollar of value that you steal, damage or incur as costs or losses due to your actions, you will be punished by losing the equivalent value in bodily organs.

Seeing as you low-lives value your genitalia with such high regard, I propose they be the first payment option for an offence.

One testicle for the value of say, $100 dollars.
Then continuing on by removing other items of your personal property (e.g., fingers, limbs, etc) in the same manner that you saw fit to steal items of mine.

Ordinarily I would propose taking items of your property, and using said value of items, pawning them at cash converters, however as your used cans, and crappy CDs are of negligible value, these items will not be taken, only items of higher value to you (e.g., your nuts) will be taken, due to the fact that you saw it fit to take the values of item to me, and left the crap behind.

I see this as an option of considerable favor, to people who are victims of your offences.

I feel that victims should be the ones to choose punishment, however as a fair and benevolent civilian, I see the above proposition to be quite lenient.

Just got let out of hospital, Day surgery to have my wisdom tooth out.

Stitches suck ass... and bleeding from the mouth hardcore sucks.
I still can’t feel a fu*kin thing apart from a slight pain, which is great. Viva la floatie drugs!
But this hunk of gauze that I have to keep wadded in the spot where the wisdom tooth makes me look like a I've got a Chuppa Chup in there. Plus replacing it is fucking gross, it looks like a raw bloody steak. Completely bloody and very, very fu*king gross.

Anyhow... Nuf winging, I am off to take some more floaty drugs before I puke....

The used gauze kinda looks... well cross between a blood covered grey slug, and .
I have no idea what the hole in my jaw looks like, but it’s still pissin’ blood out of it.

I was kinda tripped out how easily I went to sleep.
I was like 'oooohh.. rooms goin all fuzzy...' BOOM.. Out like a light...

Then I wake up, with this crappy material hanging out of my mouth.

My floaty drugs! No... You can’t have em...
I have a legitimate reason for having them. (They stop me from screaming in agony.)

I gotta admit though, the pills he gave me aren’t 'that' floaty. I could definitely do with some of the shit he gave me when he knocked me out. That stuff rocked. No dreaming, no nothin.. Boom.. Out cold.

The pills are basically making this whole thing feel good. I ain't groggy, I just feel... nice.

Definitely beats the whole 'imma smash your f**king head in' mood I was in while quitting cigarettes.

Word to the wise... if anyone wants to quit smoking.... get the flu, go on IV sedation, get a wisdom tooth out (which involves slicing the gum, sawing some of the jaw away and stitching it back together), and go on happy pills. You will feel fantastic.

Suzie won a bike, and I won tickets to the olympic diving. Ordinarily that would make me happy...

I got my confirmation that I will be a the Meet and Greet with Fort Minor this weekend. Will actually get to meet mike. I was almost certain that this would make me over the moon.

But...

Haven't been eating as well as I should, and smoking too much. Way too stressed at work, and I think both Suzie and I are bringing the stress home with us. Excess work is making me want to smoke and eat comfort food, which is making me smell of smoke, and making me get fat, which, I think, is not helping the situation at all. Work is just f**ked at the moment, IMHO, I am just well and truely over it. Had enough.

Will try and get to the gym more often, I just dont have any energy after working where I am.

Sorry for the short post. I wanted to just touch base, but I am just not in a blogging mood at the moment.

This morning started off a bit weirdly, but still ok. It actually began last night (early morning-ish). A couple of mates from the car forum and I went out to the pool hall, found it was quite boring, went on to another pub to which a couple of people were not allowed in due to the fact that they were wearing shorts.. (I will hopefully have a rant about this later... But anyhow).
Eventually we went on to Dion's place, watched Mike's Melbourne Shuffler DVD and went home a bit later than I expected.

Anyhow, this morning I woke and had to take my car in for a service, and head back home to wait for the fridge repairman to come. He came at approx 8.45 which was a surprise... I was expecting a 'oh.. Sorry I am late...' kinda call. He confirmed my suspicions that a motor of some sort had seized up and was basically trying and giving up. He mentioned that when the motor overheats it shuts off, so thats something I definately didn't know. I was actually quite surprised that they would have such protection on a fridge.

I caught public transport into work. By the way, How frickin expensive does public transport need to be?!? $4.20 to get to work. Zone 2+3 2 hour ticket... At the station I played with Lucky, our nintendog at the station and on the train on the way in which made the wait a little more tollerable. Speaking of waits... 35 minutes for a train?! I know I just missed one as I came around the corner shops, but damn thats a long wait. I now know why I like my car so much... Train stations smell constantly like urine. I felt just... dirty... sitting down on a wooden seat that had been overpainted what appeared to be 50-100 times over the top of the old grafitti. The edge of the seat on the platform was kinda pulled back, and, indulging my inquisitive nature, i had a look, and there was no less than two stuffed cigarette butts and a cockroach hidden in there where I was going to park my ass. Suffice to say I moved from there...
Walked to work from Laburnum station, and work has been busy pretty much since then.

On the upside, I have lost a little weight.
On the downside, I had a steak sandwich made up in a roll for lunch.

Oh, and I just got the bill for my car service (technically a repair). $518.10.

And I nearly forgot. How dodgy are the rules about entering a pub is now days? Dion and Mike both got knocked back at admission to Daiseys pub in Ringwood for wearing shorts. I mean, come off it. Open toed shoes I can understand because people could get their dainty little thonged toes stood on and sue. However I think that people who wear thongs out to a nightclub/pub probably have more things wrong with them than just possible toe-nail damage.
But shorts?! WTF? Is there an hazard that people could accidently injure some other unrestrained part of their anatomy on the dancefloor whilest wearing shorts? I think not.

Bah Humbug.... (and to those people that didn't want me saying TGIF.... THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!!!) ;)

Thank god its... Thursday?!?

Oh yes, oh yay the week is nearly up! (Its not a TGIF post..... so i am excused)

Long time no post, yadda yadda yadda.

Quick run down of what has happened so far....
Went out last Thursday night to a Pool Hall in Ferntree Gully with Dion and a couple of his mates. Had a blast, drank way too much red-bull but was a good time nevertheless,

Suzie went interstate today on work to install our hotel booking software and to do training. I miss her heaps, even though she is only away for the day.

Umm, booked my car in for a service... Hopefully get the rustbox an oil change. I also noticed a problem with the steering rack boot, i only just had the other side done a little while back, but will need another wheel alignment done after that is complete.

Our fridge died.. Basically made a grinding noise which I strongly believe to be some kind of motor that has siezed up. Repair-dude is coming tomorrow to have a look at it, hope its not too expensive to fix.

I may go out tonight with the guys to the same pool hall, but will see how I feel.

Work is still busy as all hell, but we are understaffed so what do u expect.

I am still waiting on geo-coding data about the places that we support so I can implement them into a really funky looking Google Map (satelite view with pins in it).

Suzie and I won a nintendo DS, so i went out and bought Nintendogs... Bloody awesome game.
We created a little puppy called Lucky. So far we have taught it to sit, roll over, beg, jump, shake, and suzie only last night taught it 'wiggle bum' :)

When Suzie left this morning, she left a note on the kitchen table saying 'we won this' and pointing to a blank entry form with a bike on it... so i am looking forward to clarification of that one ;)

Anyhow... Thank god its friday... I am reluctant to name this post 'thank god its friday' because I have the same named post like... lots fo times..

This weekend has a lot on the agenda, I will be taking Suzie to the airport (Off topic: Don't you just love that advert for pepsi max where the monkey is driving? "Too Daahh Aayyrporrrt"Lol... cracks me up every time)
That evening I will be going out to a friends birthday get-together (not technically a party) and the next morning giving the aforementioned birthday bloke a lift work (with one hell of a hangover)

Apart from that, I may have a small get together with some of the guys for video games, drinks and a bbq. (OMGWTFBBQW0Ot!!) But am yet to invite people (typical me, leaving shit to the last minute)

On other news... I am dreading calling the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (read: expensive specialist dentist) because I am gonna have to have my wisdom tooth out.
My normal dentist said that I would need to go into hospital (eeeek!) and have it out under sedation (EEEKKK!).
Aparently they knock you out, knock out the tooth, and then wake you up... Except.. the last person I know that had their wisdom tooth out (cant remember who though) had to have the jawbone sawn aparn to get at the tooth. (If I see any hacksaw blades, or other tools of the same sort... i am out of there like a frickin rocket!!!!!)

OooHhh! One more thing.. you may have noticed the Fort Minor Video Clip playing above...
I realise that you may be sick of the song by now.. But I am going to see Fort Minor when they tour on march 5th! If you don't know, fort minor is the 2nd half of the lead vocals for Linkin Park, starring Mike Shinoda.

I joined the Linkin Park underground(LP fan-club), and hopefully will get the chance to meet the crew and get something signed!! (WoOOoOooOo!!!)

Work is really beginning to get busy, and its due to people being out of support doing other 'important' things, and people deciding to partially quit (so beginning to work part time) and leaving their support calls, unfinished, and uncompleted.
Today was, and is just beginning to get beyond a joke...

I just hope it ends soon.

Gastrolite is just a cruel joke

I am hereby convinced that Gastrolite is a cruel joke. It is probably 2nd in line of worst medical jokes, with the leader of the pack being suppositories proscribed for treatment of hemorrhoids.
For those of you that haven't ever had Gastroenteritis (gastro), it is basically a virus that causes you to be unable to keep food down, and have really bad diarrhea.
Gastrolite is this drink that you are supposed to drink when you have this virus that is supposed to taste like orange or raspberry. I have only had the 'pleasure' of trying the orange flavor. It tastes a little like orange cordial mixed with salt, and bi-carb. I think it was supposed to be designed to replace whatever fluids you are losing as a result of the symptoms of gastro.
This stuff is impossible to drink when you have gastro. It invokes (almost immediately) the gag reflex that causes this horrid liquid to bounce straight back up again (most of which via your nostrils.) Not Cool…

Anyhow, yesterday was spent running back and forward between bed and the toilet and trying to drink this cruel medication. Today, I still feel quite iffy in the stomach; however the aforementioned symptoms have mostly subsided. I can not keep solids in my stomach for longer than a minute, so I have given up on eating. My stomach feels like it has been punched, repeatedly. Just sharp pains and I can't bend over or twist. My shoulders joints ache and I really can't stomach drinking any more of this 'blue bolt' flavored Gatorade.

Anyhow… I am back at work with this affliction, but really should be at home in bed.

Just hope I get better before tomorrows heat wave.

HOT! So.... Bloody Hot!

How frickin hot does it have to get?

Today was absolutely insane. We (Suz and I) went out to try and find an aircon. We saw a couple at Clive Peeters but they were a bit too expensive, went on to Retravision and they had sold out. (Of stand alone ones that is, not the installable ones) Then we went to Bunnings, they had sold out, and had people waiting at 8am this morning to buy the last of them. Apparently people are waiting 3 weeks to have the installable ones installed!!! Apparently also Harvey Norman sold out of them as well.
Passing up the Clive Peeters one was probably not the smartest idea.

Anyhow, we went on to Eastland, then onto Glen Waverley to go to the movies (hoping that it was air-conditioned.)
The theatre was hot inside, and they had piled us in beside this woman that absolutely stunk, and she just 'grunted' when I asked her to remove her handbag from my seat (it was allocated seating, so it was indeed 'my' seat.

So here I am, hoping the internet doesn't drop out. (The net dropped out before because the router was over heated. I am talking frying pan hot). I elevated the router off the carpet with a plastic cigarette container.

I wonder if anyone is kind enough to give us an air-con for nothing. I doubt that anyone is that charitable. I gave away my washing machine that I was going to sell, but couldn't find a way to transport it back to my place when they upgraded to a newer one so have resorted to having to throw it away instead of selling it like I would have wanted to.
Ahh well… Such is life. When life gives you a lemon, be grateful that life didn't charge you for it... lol!
Anyhow.... I think I have winged enough.

Anyone wanna buy/give me an air-conditioner? lol!

I love weekends. I know its only Thursday, but I am definately lookin forward to it.

This arvo I have a dentists appointment, and then in the afternoon I will pick up my favourite cow print tie from the dry cleaners, and then on to the tupperware sales meeting in the evening.

I am soo going to try and get a bit of a sleep in this weekend. I have so far been told by two people that I look 'tired'. Hopefully a bit of R&R will fix me up.

Not much else has happened, I got paid, bought some lychees and sushi for lunch, got my competition phone set up (new phone with a vodaphone sim) and am trying not to have a cigarette.

I just can't wait for the weekend!

Xmas, New Years and work

Yep, long time no post..
My apologies again to the people that actually read this blog, it's been a while.

I will try and quickly explain what happened over xmas and new years.

X-mas. The day was spent at my brothers house having a christmas day lunch in Royal Park (North Melbourne) the food was amazing, but there were a hell of a lot of flies buzzing around which kind of spoilt it.

New Years, was spent at one of Suzanne's friends from highschool's place. In the days leading up to that, we spent the time at Suzannes parents beach house. On new years day, I jumped on the web to see how some of the eBay items that I was selling were going to find that one of the websites that I maintain had been partially hijacked by someone phishing AOL member details. Needless to say, this was not cool. The website hosting had been taken down and we went back to melbourne a couple of days later and it all got sorted out.

Apart from that, we had a very good well deserved break (2 weeks) and am finally back at work (came back about a week ago.)

I hope you all had a very merry christmas and an excellent new year!

Oh.. also. I found out that I haven't been to the gym since september.. :( No wonder I am looking a bit porky.
I am going to try and get to the gym a lot more often. I wanna look a hell of a lot less podgy and have a few more muscles ;)

This was just going to be a quick post... but it has somewhat expanded ;)

Read on my friends, read on!!

The weekend was good, got to spend some quality time with Suzie and got a bit of the Xmas shopping out of the way.
Tomorrow evening/afternoon I will be heading up to one of the golf clubs that use our software on the border of NSW and Victoria. For those of you who don't know... it’s going to be a pretty long hike for my little rust box car. I checked on the web, and it works out to be approx 308.02 Km or 4:35 Hour journey. Hope my car makes it!! I will be training them on our new Functions and Events module which allows the club to manage, track and report on the functions that they host.

It should be fun. Now that I have the RACV membership, if the rust box dies, I will hopefully be all right. (Fingers crossed that I don't need it, and that if I do, that they will cover me that far out of Melbourne)

It will hopefully be a good opportunity to spend a bit of time in my car (and be thankful for good windscreen wipers and air-con). I am a bit nervous though, because I haven't really trained anyone in that module before, and I am still a little shaky when it comes to the reporting side of the software (for example, cost reports of events, profit reports, running orders, etc.)

I am glad that I didn't go and see wolf creek the movie. Apparently the movie makes you really fearful of going out into the bush alone.

I have cleared the memory card on my mobile phone out, and I may take Suzanne's camera with me so that I can get some nice photos if I get time (although I seriously doubt it).

Anyhow guys, if you don't hear from me again, I am probably lost in the wilderness somewhere befriending a koala or kangaroo of some sort. On the upside, if that happens, I always did like Skippy the bush kangaroo. If the worst happens, I will just have to learn how to whistle on gum leaves ;)

Today has been a bit of a mess-up. Although, a mess up isn't/aren’t really the correct word(s).

It's been quite busy at work, lots of support calls. I have been trying to work harder, just to get the work out of the way, but the support calls don't seem to be disappearing... (sigh) Ahh well.

Tonight I am going to the Tupperware sales meeting where I will hopefully get to collect all of my goodies! (Peoples orders) Every time I pick up an order from the Tupper-Warehouse (bad pun), it feels like Christmas morning, except I get what I ask for! Even though the Tupperware isn’t mine, its going to someone else, it just feels so cool to have all of the cool new Tupperware all wrapped up being handed to me! I sooooo can’t wait till tonight when I get my Tupperware order that I placed in for record breaker week! When I get time, (yeah yeah… I know), I will post a picture of my ‘1 thousand dollar pin’. It’s the pin that I got for the other week’s sales of over $1000 worth of Tupperware in a week. Ishh preeeetty ;) I am quite proud of that achievement!

On a sort of different topic, it is really beginning to feel like Xmas finally. The stores are getting a lot more rushed and decorations are all out en-masse. I should probably do some Xmas shopping before the last minute rush. (I say that every year, but do I listen to myself? Regretfully no….)

I wonder if anyone else is as disorganized with getting Christmas present shopping done. Do you leave it till the last minute or do you have all of the presents organized well ahead of time? If you do leave it to the last minute, what’s the excuse? Is it just because you are disorganized? Or do you strategically plan it that way?

Let me know what YOU do. Would like to hear other peoples opinions other than my own boring ones ;)

She got me an RACV membership ;)
Soo happy! Was gonna go and get one!

(To those of you non-victorians who don't know what the 'RACV' is... it stands for the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria. It basically buys you roadside assistance in case u get a flat tyre, or dead battery or some other kind of major mishap with your car.)

So yeah, If I accidently break something on my car, someone who knows what they are doing will come and fix it ;)

This morning on Nova, it was heard that aparently one of Saddam's head bodyguards is living here in South Australia. He is aparently waiting on some kind of protection visa. How this guy could have gotten into the country is actually quite, well... scary.
Let alone how he could ever get a job over here. I mean, I realise that people can be pretty creative with resume writing, but damn... if the guy can't even protect saddam, then what kinda security guard is he gonna be?
The other thing is, why South Australia? Near the city of churches. I suppose, it's probably why he hasn't been found until today tonight did some kind of expose on dole bludgers that are actually millionares who want an extra $120 a fortnight.Then they probably realised that there was a bigger story about the dude next door named Sheik Raji Medhat Abdul Jaffar Mahasapinapetalon junior; who, as a matter of fact, in his job as a taxi driver responded with a 'little too much info' to one of his drunken news-reporter passengers when asked 'so... what did u do before you became a taxi-driver?'...

Now... Before I get totally flamed by replys, I consider myself not racist, I try to hate all people equally. I, like most other humans, have a healthy fear of... well... death. I also fear a lot of the things that cause death, but ultimately death is a major contributing factor.
Avoidance of aforementioned 'death' is well... kinda important to me. I have been on this crazy world for 24 years, and I am kinda getting used to it. Anything I can do to delay the inevitable terrorist attack (albiet me harboring a fear towards all of Sheik-a-lallypop briefcase dropping terrorists)

Anyhow... I congratulate the guy for getting into the country. I guess he had to work pretty hard to get in. If I am wrong about him being evil, then I apologise for that as well.

Oh.. and I hear he is moving to Sydney. Lets hope lil Johnny Howard will protect his favourite city a tad better than he protected poor ol' Adelaide.

Today started off to be a crap day. I was afraid of blogging today purely because I don't want my blog to become one big pity party. (you know... the type of blog where the author is just winging about how crap their life is and how they aren't motivated blah blah blah....)

Anyhow... It started off crap, sleepy, headache, nausea, stomach ache, sore joints.. etc...

But... now.. I feel fannnnnnn-tastic!!

Went to the bank with my tax cheque, and the lady checked my history, and decided to clear it on the spot into my account! Damn I love the christmas spirit! (xmas shopping, here I come!)

The long awaited repair of a card printer for one of our golf clubs has come through (finally) (and an update, they are getting a free sticky roller as the old one is on its way out and they would have been charged over 100 bucks for it if they had to buy one.)

Record Breaker week at Tupperware was a shambles for me, and I thought I had accidently over-estimated my figures for the week, however one of the parties which didnt have many attendees just blew me away with $630 bucks worth of orders with more to come, with the larger party already totalling $540 so that pushes me near to the $1200 mark for the week!!! WOOOO HooOOOO!!

The report layout that I worked late last night trying to finish worked out (sort of) fine. Surprisingly there were only a couple of changes that needed to be made to make it work beautifully for the customer. Also the scorecard layout that went out for another club had a few minor changes and looks really schmick!

I also completed the code for a satellite mapping engine for easy display of all of the venues which our software services, and in my very humble opinion it looks really really cool. You can zoom right in and see rooftops! (ask me if u want to have a look!)

I will hopefully go and play bingo tonight.

Little Ninja NoodleBox from Mornington.
This little noodle box was soooo yum! Perfect size, as it didn't fill me up too much! The night before Suzie went dolphin swimming, she met up with a friend of hers, and I went to find something yummy on the Mornington Peninsula. This is what I found.

On the way to the dentist, I decided it would be a good time to eat an apple. Thanks to McDonalds Healthy Choice menu, apples are available via drive-thru. First we put a man on the moon, then we have cameras inside mobile phones... now we have the McApple available without leaving the car... What an amazing place this world is ;)

Also known as 'the rustbox', 'smoke machine' and 'better than public transport, I would like to introduce you to my car.
To address the first few questions:
Yes, its a 'first car'.
Yes, I like it.
No, it doesn't go very fast.
No, it's not older than me (only by a lil bit though)
I will get a 'real car' when I get sick of this car, and can afford my dream car.

USB Cup Warmer
Okay, I know I said that the McApple was cool. But this is so geekily cool, the person that dreamed this up deserves some kinda nobel peace prize.
Basically, plug this little doohicky into the usb port on your computer. flick the switch, and your coffee stays relatively warm for a heck of a long time!

There are gonna be a lot of posts that are titled 'back to work', basically, my monday, back to work day post... nevertheless, here tis!

The weekend was quite nice, got my ps2 and xbox back from the insurers on friday, so I am quite happy about that. Suzie got one of those dancing games for the ps2 and a matt to dance along to the game, (the 'dance dance' style ones) so she is quite pleased. It's a really good workout!
Suzanne and I went down to Sorrento to go Dolphin swimming for her birthday. Unfortunately, the dolphins wern't up for playing, so we only got to 'see' the dolphins. Suzie got to swim with some seals though (didn't get up too close though).
I got a bit sunburnt, but won a bit of money on the pokies the night before Suzie's dolphin swim.
All in all, it was a great weekend!

Here we go, another installment of the life of Loughlan. :)

Had monday off as an after hours support day in lieu.
Monday was just beautiful, quite warm, but nice.
Drove around for a bit, got the referral from the dentist, then finally got the x-ray done of my teeth. There is something not right about my wisdom tooth (yes, this is the only occasion that Myself and Wisdom will be mentioned ;) )
I also went to this market research thingo in the evening, so a little bit of extra cash to definately help things along.

In case you were wondering how this whole Tupperware thing is going, we have 'record breaker week' coming up very soon. Our neighbour out the front has agreed to have a party during this week. During record breaker week, there are lots of extra goodies that can be obtained by having a party, so yeah... like... omg... How excitement!! ;)

This has never really been a weightloss or a fitness blog, so I won't bother you with boring details about what I have recently binged on.
Suffice to say, that I have binged, it was bad, nuf said ;)

I woke up this morning and was happy because it was friday. Friday night drinks at work, end of the week, etc...
But it all went downhill from there.

Had an SMS from a lady that was hosting a Tupperware party for me, at the last minute, saying that she had to cancel her party. Basically that was my last real Tupperware party that I could have gotten 'dates' from. By 'dates', I mean, the opportunity to get additional parties.

So I have no more parties, with the exception of Suzanne's sister who is having a party next week. Suzanne's sister has only just had a party, and has said that she may not be able to get anybody to come to it or date from it.

On that note, I would really like to thank Luda, Brooke and Jenny for having parties for me, I really appreciate it. I would also like to Suzie for helping out heaps, I will still be able to handle peoples replacements until Tupperware cut me off, but unfortunately, without parties, it appears that I wont be doing Tupperware anymore.

How bloody hot does it have to get?! It rained late last night, but its still frickin hot!!
If you can't already tell, I don't deal with the heat well.

Did my 2nd tupperware party last night at Ludas. I did a cooking demo.... My god it was hot!! I thought, this is sooo gonna suck because I was sweating SO much. Like.. dripping. I usually don't like doing recipes that I haven't practiced at home, however this one came out quite nicely. Double Choc Fudge Brownies. YUM! (p.s. if you want the receipe, just let me know when I can organise your Tupperware party for you!) ;)
It was not the biggest party (2 guests), however it was great practice, and I really appreciate Luda for helping me out by hosting it.

An update on my grandmother, on monday she had a operation to install a tube to her stomach, so she can get food into her. (she is having difficulties swallowing, and hence was getting weaker and weaker) The operation aparently went well, so she is very slowly feeling better. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned how much this whole thing worries me, so I won't go on about any longer, except to say that all my hopes and prayers are with her.

On a lighter note, our (Suzanne and my) lease is nearly up on our place, so I have asked the landlord if it is possible to get a dishwasher and/or Air-con installed. If anything, it will most likely be the deciding factor as to whether we renew our lease for 6 or 12 months, or even at all. Installing an aircon and dishwasher will definately increase the value of the house, and will outlive our stay in the house, making the house a lot more appealing to anyone else that rents it in future. So I guess its in his/her best interests. Will see how we go.

Earlier I mentioned that I would be installing some software on my webserver that will allow people to track how many reps they are doing for workouts. It will also allow people to have a link from their blog/website to their personal fitness regime so that people can see how well they are doing.
Nobody enquired about using this facility, so I haven't focused much attention on getting it up online.
If anyone would like to get information about using this, please let me know!

Back at work

Just a quick post, as I am at work.

Had a good weekend, but I seriously missed Suzie over the weekend (as she was in queensland with her mum)

My grandmother isn't doing too well at all. I went to see her on Sunday, and she was in Caufield Medical Centre. I got a bit sad, but I am trying to be strong. No need to be upset if she is still here with us.

Not much else in the world of Tupperware, a new catalogue out, so a bit of learning.
My first solo Tupperware party coming up soon (with 2 people attending...)
Ahh well, I guess it will make a good practice party :)
I am also really grateful to the people that have offered to have parties for me.
I really appreciate your support.
Also I would like to thank the people that came along to my announcement party. Thanks for making it over!

Anyhow, going to try and get these damn scorecard layouts done for work. They are a fair bit overdue. They are just really fiddly to create.

Oh yeah, I am soo glad that I have this diary to organise stuff (Tupperware gave me it). I would have been sCrEwEd royally otherwise.
I accidently scheduled a tupperware party to occur when I was supposed to be doing sales training/product release night. EEP! Thank god the person hadn't started to invite people. I offered her a better time, and it was all good. (phew)

Anyhow.. back to work!

My announcement party went sort of well.
A few people that said they would come didnt bother to arrive (no names will be mentioned)
But apart from that, I think it went well.

My grandmother has been moved to hospital and is still undergoing tests. My thoughts and prayers go with her.

Suzie is out on site today, and I will be leaving early because I manned the gold support telephone recently. This weekend she is off to QLD on a holiday :)

I am hopefully going to put something on my webserver that will allow people to track how many reps they have done in the gym for weights workout. It will also allow them to publish on the web how many of each type of excersize they have done, and have it displayed on their blog if they like.

I will keep you posted as to its progress, however let me know if you wanted to get something like this.

Apart from that, quite a busy day with Suzanne out of support, the rest of us are feeling it (well, the other two people are probably slacking off... but anyhoo)

I will post again when I have a little more spare time.

Oh, and if anyone is interested in a tiny tupperware milkshake maker (smaller size than regular) lemmie know as I have one on special :)

I don't think my tupperware money making scheme is going to make me much money at all (or even break even.

So far, most of the people we asked to come have piked out on us. No-one even wants to come. I have made a few product sales from one of suzies friends, and a can opener by parents (I think it was just a pity purchase.

This really sucks. I think we have 4 people coming (one is 'not sure')

I don't think my parents will be coming because my grandmother has just gone into hosipital. That, plus if I were to run a party of my own, I wouldnt be able to concentrate because I am worried about my Grandma.

I still havent had my kit explained to me, and I am confused about all of this tupperware shit.

Damn.

Thank god its Friday!

I love the feeling of waking up on Friday mornings thinking... One more day to go till the weekend! I have missed that the past few weeks.

Anyhow, today has been hellish at work, with scorecard layouts needing to be done, and support calls coming in en-mass. Hopefully this weekend will go well.

I forgot to mention. I have taken up being a Tupperware demonstrator. I am still trying to learn all of the stuff I have to, but I will be tagging along to another party this weekend to see how it is all done.

I will be holding my Announcement Party this Tuesday evening. Basically a Tupperware demonstration with someone else doing most of the work. Proceeds go to pay off my Tupperware kit. Its gonna hopefully be good.

If anyone that wants to know what is involved in hosting a Tupperware party of your own, let me know! Tupperware and Cooking demos, and possibly some freebees and giveaways.

Apart from that, this weekend my parents are coming past to pick up some couches for Auntie Lorna, that and I've still gotta finish reading through the training manuals for aforementioned Tupperware.

I hope that my blog doesnt get filled with these posts.

My grandmother is moving into a new section of the nursing home which gives her more intensive care. Basically it is a place to go when you really really cant take care of yourself. It is most often (read always) the last stop for people if you catch my drift.

I know mum is feeling it hardcore. With my brother out at sea, myself and Doug are gonna have to get it together so that we can arrange her stuff and be strong for mum.
The thing is, that I cant get it out of my mind. Suzie just tried to have a hug with me on the couch, and I just... can't. I couldn't reciprocate. I am trying, but I can't. I am trying to be strong, to not get all morbid and shit... Goddamnit.
This shit gets to me. When I first heard the news, I indulged myself in a few tears. Then back to business, be strong for mum.
Suzie will probably read this, and she may not understand. I don't expect her to. But with this on my mind, its really knocking me for a 6.
The time that she wants to be with me, I am not with it.

Maybe a good nights sleep will help. I am helping out tomorrow with Grandmas move to the new place.

Just gotta get my mind together. Get it done.

Hey all,

Last night I went to a trivia night at my brothers local pub, The Quiet Man in North Melbourne.
Drunken and Underage was our tables name. I am definately glad that some of chris's mates came, because they were really, really, really smart! So by the end of the night, our table won! $50 bucks between all 9 of us, so it worked out to be about $5 each, not bad for a free drink and a good night out ;)
Had some lamb shanks for dinner with mashed potato, and damn was it good!!
Anyhow, had a great night, but got home late and am tired today at work. Also, I am trying not to smoke, which makes it a bit harder.

Last night was great. Went to celebrate Luda's birthday with Suzanne and Ash. Went out to the movies, and got home at like.. 12.30-1pm.

Anyhow, Today Suzie caught up with Luda and Ash again, went to Eastland for something to eat, then they went on to some factory outlet.

I scouted around a few auto shops to try and find the best way to fix the rust on my car.

Apart from that, a good day was had!

Gym and Friday

Went to the gym last night.. Haven't been for quite a while. Unlike Suzanne, I didn't have an excuse not to go, apart from me taking care of the gold support telephone (ask me about that later)

Won a football at the gym. Apparently it is signed by Collingwood. Still looks pretty sweet. Wonder if I can eBay it ;)

Oh.. Forgot to mention. Finally got my tax sorted out. Happy about that!
I also got Suzies sister's website up and going on the live site.
I converted the pages from html to php, and made them so that I could easily make changes if requested using a small content management php script.

Anyhow, today is Friday. Thank GOD is Friday.

And by the way, Did anyone remember 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day'? I only barely remembered (think it was Monday) so I got a little bit o' the ol' pirate speak out... Yarghhh matey!!!

Ok... I've calmed down a little. The tennis racket is still beside me just in case any bastards come up and try and rob me again.

Today, my xbox, and ps2 were stolen from my home (the little rat fucks came in, unplugged it... and had the nerve to take a green bilo bag, and a colorado shoebox to cart their loot home)

As soon as I found out that this stuff was missing, I called the ringwood police station, they said that some people from the crime squad would be attending tomorrow.

I recieved a call from croydon police office somethingarather. they advised that some officers would be attending in approx half an hour (15-20 minutes).

Two police officers, and two trainee officers attended, finger printed the place, then a cop poked his head in the door and said they have had a call... they very, very quickly... I polished off my glass of red, and went and waited out the front of the house with a tennis racket.

I am not sure if they will be back tonight or not.

I tell ya, if i find whoever did this, they will WISH the cops had caught them first!!

Other than that... I am missing my movie because of this little prick... Suzie started playing a little cheer up e-card that I sent to her earlier today. It is definatly calming me down a bit.

I am going to go and watch xxx2 the movie in the bedroom, hopefully that will take my mind off what has happened today.

Thunder and Honey

As you probably already know, last night, we had thunder and lightening.

I knew it, Suzie knew it, and... yes.. Suzie's parents dog knew it.... Honey wasn't going to let us forget that there was thunder either!!! Poor girl, she was quite scared of it, and wouldn't stop barking.

I went to take the dog outside for.. well.. you know.. doggie indescretions, (my 12.30 logic was my reasoning behind thinking that she needed to 'go') needless to say, she most certaintly DIDN'T want to go out!!

I went back to bed, and honey piped up again.

Now... in my defense. I had a really, really bad headache at the time. So... this barking aint helping.
I gave my apologies to Suzie, and went to sleep in the spare room so that my honey could bark her head off, and not make my headache worse.

Suzie stayed up with honey and tried virtually everything to shut her up. She eventually watched tv, played solitare, layed on the floor with her, left the light on, shut the curtains, let her bark it out, told her off, 'shhhhed' her, the works....

Needless to say, the time is now 10:20am, and Suzie is sleeping in. Well deserved I might add.

Anyhow, I am off to go and have the 3 C's for breakfast, (cerial, coffee, cigarette) and maybe go for a workout.

Forgot to mention, on sunday, I picked up my first batch of market research cigarettes. They arn't that bad, except for the scary plain white packet. They still have the same damn manditory government health warning telling me that I am killing my baby. (If it kills my baby, I wonder how many of these little buggers will make me lose my beer gut?)

But anyhow, I can't complain, I get about a weeks worth of smokes, and $80 bucks for the hassle. Not that bad. About time the cigarette companies gave me something back. LOL!

Apart from that, nothing much, I installed some widgets on my desktop at home, stuff like weather, calendar, etc...

I will post a screenshot when I get time (and when I get it 'just right')

Fathers Day

Today was fathers day. Arranged for my mother and stepfather to come past for lunch, gave my dad a call (left a message, he called back later in the evening).

My mother and stepfather had the idea of bringing red rooster over (Suzie was soo brave. She went out and got sushi so that she didn't eat fatty chicken and chips. Gotta love her!!). Anyhoo, mum brought her friends daughter over (she was taking care of her) and little Gracie seemed like she had a good time drawing, playing with her bag, playing harmonica and watching elmo in grouchland.

When they left, Suzies parents came over, and Suzie gave her dad his prezzie (a gift bag of chockies).

Apart from that, we both watched Million Dollar Baby. Damn sad movie. But as Suzie said on her blog, it definately makes you realise what you have got. (p.s. Sad ending.. soz)

Anyhow. I had better be off to bed.

Thank god its Friday!
I doubt that I could have dealt with another day like today.

The footy tipping server that I maintain for work was going all funky and timing out when processing a PHP script. Restarting IIS, and rebooting didnt fix it. All i could do is replace the file... Then some tips went missing.

Mail to my work email account started dissapearing (probably some of the servers having problems with the MX records still being set to the old value.

A support incident that was scheduled (3 hours approx total time to fix) got forgotten (outlook didn't remind me.)

Add on top of that another customer that needed a software module installed, however the software doesn't appear to work with how they have their customers configured. (a bug-fix)

And I just remembered that I forgot to change the damn server backup tapes!! F**K!

Then, I had to be home ASAP so that my parents could pick up Aidee (the dog)

Plus one of the managers of the company asked if I could fix her home machine, so I had that in the back of my car, and was worried about having it nicked out of the back. Plus, I gotta have it fixed for her sometime this weekend.

AND!!! To make all of these issues worse, I am trying not to smoke, which, as a side effect, makes me SO cranky that I want to rip peoples heads off. Suzie is pissed at me because I am snappy because of this fact.

There were other things, that I cant remember at the moment, because there was so much crap going on...

But like I said, I doubt that I could have dealt with another day like today.

Usually Fridays are a good day for me... Wonder what a bad day would be like! LMFAO!

Oh... and I gotta somehow squeeze in going to the gym, and meeting up with Suzie at her parents, and updating my blog, and making dinner, and moving my domain name, and pricing things for the car boot sale, and removing the rust spots from my car..... etc.. etc.. etc..

Aidee Going Home

Hey all,
Aidee is going home soon (this evening, or tomorrow morning).

Although she requires a lot of attention (a hell of a lot), I will miss her. That little dog has got character. She gets pissed off when I try to leave the house in the morning (eg. grab my keys, say 'ok cya'... etc). But I she always greets me at the door, with her green toy (see previous posts).

Kinda makes me wanna get a dog. (shh... don't tell Suzie!! ;))

More Dentist, More Dog

Its Tuesday, and I have yet another session of root canal therapy (yay...)
I just didn't want to get out of bed today, so g'damn tired.

Sorry that I haven't posted for a while. dunno if anyone is actually reading this, (there have been no comments added) you should probably say something!

Aidee is relatively well behaved. She seems to love the back yard, running around in circles barking at nothing, then going for a whiz.

Finally got off my ass and went to the gym, I did my weights workout, so I am kinda proud of myself.

Last night, had a yummy dinner, chicken schnitzel with chicken and herb gravy, vegies and potato gems.

I guess this gym, and healthy eating is going to do me good.

Hey all!

My mother and stepfather left for their trip today. They are driving to a friends place (south australia?) and they asked if I could take care of their dog (our dog).

Meet Aidee! She has kinda become attached to the couch in these photos, gotta love her!

On an update to the previous post, my tooth feels much better, and I am sleeping much better :)

Heya,

Last night sucked.

Usually I can sleep through anything, but this damn tooth kept me awake till nearly 4am. I made sure that I set both alarms (phone and clockradio) so that I would be able to get up for work.

I am absolutely wasted at the moment, feel like falling asleep. The only thing that is stopping me is the bright fluros.

I definately thing a super strong coffee is required.

(oh.. i forgot to mention, my blogging sounds crap when I write when I am tired, in case you couldn't tell)

I think the antibiotics are slowly but surely making this tooth feel a little better. It doesn't hurt as much as yesterday, or the day before.

Anyhow, at least Suzie will be home this evening. I will sleep a lot sounder when she is home. :)

She is coming back at about 10ish this morning, and will be recovering at home.

Anyhow... better get back to work, thank god its usually quiet on mondays!

Suzies run & Grandma's birthday

Hi Kids!!!!

Today, my gal did the City to Surf in Sydney! (WooHOO!!! Go Suzie!!). She flew up to Sydney (Brooke went too... Yay! Go Brooke!) and completed it this morning!
I am really proud of her, I mean.. 14kms! Sheeze.. Thats a HELL of a long way!!

Also, it was my grandmothers birthday today, so I went to my mothers place for lunch with my grandmother. A good time had by all.

On a less positive note, I am almost certain that I have a hole in my muffler on my car. My car sounds... well.. not quite right... It's sounds kinda like a tinny clunky version of a truck crossed with a V8.

Went out and got some exhaust tape to patch it, and headed over to my mate Muzzas place to have a look at it, however exhaust tape wont cut it. (not happy jan!!)

Oh well, will get it booked in for a service (again) and hopefully get it fixed (maybe get some putty and patch the little bugger myself)

All that being said, A good day was had. Missed Suzie lots. Tooth still hurts a LOT, (cheers to miles for his idea last night of 'self medication' a.k.a. booze! It worked sorta well!)

Also.. I wonder if anyone actually reads this crap... If you do... and have any suggestions on my blogging style, please let me know. The first work out session I did yesterday has left my upper back muscles aching...
But the worst thing of all, is the root canal work that I have had done hurts like hell, I mean really, really, really bad!!
It feels like I've been hit in the head with a hammer... NOT COOL.
Think I will have a smoke, take a pill, and go to bed.

No need for sympathy, just strong pain killers.
On the subject of pain killers (in particular, nyQuill), Denis Leary said it best; "kiss your friends and family goodbye... say hello to Clouds!!"

Gym membership

Hi all,

Just another day. I realise that a lot of my posts contain at least one reference to me vowing to try and keep posting my daily activities, so heres todays post!

This evening I signed up for a Gym membership. I went past a little Gym that looked nice, however I went down the road to Genesis, and thought the pricing was a bit better, and the facilities looked a bit more motivational. (also it is a little bit easier to get to on the way home from work, so I have no excuses. Hopefully I will get a bit of my upper body strength back, and be a bit more motivated to go for walks with Suzie.

So yeah, I am hereby going to attempt to work out!

The other thing, is that I finally sourced some of the soup that Suzie likes. Muffin Break Chicken and Vegetable soup in a roll. Hopefully will have this in the next couple of days!

In the next few weeks, I will hopefully post how well I have done at the gym.

Tyres

Hey all,

This post will probably only be interesting for people that want to see my car.

This weekend, i got the cracked steering boot replaced (don't ask me what that is), had my two rear tyres replaced, fronts moved to the back, and new fronts put on.

The whole replacement of tyres was kinda cool. Really trippy to watch how they do it.

I took some pics, just for the people that would be interested in my car.

Its a 1984 Toyota Corolla CSX (1.6 ltr) RWD, aircon, CD, 5 speed manual, with tacho and factory mags.

The centre cap thingys are an absolute bitch to get off, as they had fused onto the wheel, making it impossible to balance the wheel properly. They ended up having to bust the centre cap. (On my recent pick-a-part journey, I prepared for this. I grabbed a couple of them from another CSX) The CSX (unlike the S and the CS) comes with these mags. They turn a otherwise old crappy looking car, into a fast, mean, crappy looking car.

Hey kids!

Today I went to the dentist. I am still trying to decide what hurts more... the pain in my mouth, or the pain in my wallet.
On the upside, I won on a scratchie. $20 bucks from a $2 scratchie. Now alls I gotta do is repeat that like.. a few thousand times, and I will break even!

I am back, I haven't filled out my blog, I am lazy, sue me.

Umm, whats happened so far...

There was a competition out the front of JB Hi-Fi in Ringwood (Eastland) which they dubbed 'Ringwood Idol' where they had a PS2 console, and singstar pop game up for grabs. All you had to do was sing along to the music, karaoke style and the video game would rate you.

Ringwood voices must suck, because I won first prize singing 'hoobastank - the reason'. (of all people) The prize included a new PS2 (2nd gen), 2 microphones, USB microphone to PlayStation converter, and SingStar Pop game. Total prize value $280 ish.
Not bad for simply getting my ass up in front of a crowd and singing out of tune. Anyhow, that was a week or so ago.

Today I went down to Pick-a-Part, and got a replacement parking light for my car, also some centre cover thingies for the mags on my car, and a newish lower centre console thingo (cause the one that i have has been hacked badly, and looks so dodgy. I 'picked' the parts from this car below.

The car didn't look in too bad a shape(imho), apart from being a tad old (circa 1983), and half of the engine being missing.

I will post some pictures of the way my car looks soon (yeah, yeah, 'soon'). For those that are vaguely interested (none of you), its a 1984 Toyota Corolla, CS-X, 1.6 ltr, RWD, aircon, Mags standard, Pioneer CD head unit, 2xPioneer 100w speakers in the back, rust, smoke, and dirt. Most people say 'oh well, everyone's first car is a piece of s**t'.
Yep.. It's a piece of s**t car. But it's better than the bus. (not much better) (and shut up Jordan, I can hear you saying 'I told you driving is better than catching public (a.k.a. pubic) transport)

Enough of my car... Not much else has happened... (Well, not that I can remember at the moment).

There was recently an issue where netspace internet customers couldn't access blogspot blogs. Thats why i haven't posted recently.

Things appear to be going well, I went to do market research tonight, and caught up with an old friend from Tafe for dinner afterwards. (he came along to the market research as well).

Got a little concerned when I couldn't contact Suzanne on the way home. I thought the worst when she wasn't contactable on the mobile, but that was soon cleared up by a call from her.

I am looking forward to going to the Crusty Demons performance on Friday/Saturday. If you didn't already know, I won the tickets.

I hope all the people reading this are well (is there actually anyone reading this?)

Some people are really, really, REALLY stupid.

I guess I must confess this, I think I have a bit of a problem. The funny thing is, its a problem that I don't think I need to fix.

The problem is that I find myself, almost on a daily basis, being really intolerant of stupid people. People that are so blatantly stupid that they don't even realise it.

A lot of other people just ignore them and their stupidity, and get on with their day, however I find myself getting frustrated at how stupid they are!

Does anyone else get this? The feeling of absolute frustration at the sheer idiocy of some people?

Hey all,
I have been trying to find something interesting about my day to write in, but apart from the drudgery of work, there isn't much to say.

Today is one of the days where i am trying hard not to have a cigarette, and trying to fill the void that, I know, only 8mg of nicotine can fill.

Patches suck. Yes, i know i have just blown any chances at striking up a multibillion dollar sponsorship deal with Nicorette, however it has to be said. They suck... really hard.

I don't know if it is just me, or if other people feel the same way. But I find I am a little scatterbrained if I don't have one, and end up rambling (bit like I am at the moment ;)). However, when i have one, i get clarity of thought. Damn this drug.

Anyhow... I am at the moment trying to replace my favourite drug, with my 2nd most favourite drug... Caffeine. Hell, worst place scenario, I will become a footballer. (if you don't get the previous joke... its probably a good thing. If you do, I feel deeply sorry for you)

So, here I am at work, scatterbrained, drinking coffee, and going to eat my Vaalia low fat yoghurt and tiramisu sauce (not that nice tasting, I might add).

Anyhow, Enough rambling for me.
